The camera shows Sarah Lynn sitting on a chair at a table in the Day Room.
Sarah Lynn: Secrets, for some people they can be fun but for others they can be dangerous. You just have to look at me for example. I know who I phoned, I know, who sent me that letter but nobody else does. I need to be perfectly clear about something. The only thing that I don’t know is what to expect from the use of the word “associate”. People would look at a word like that and they would assume it could mean something like a business partner. Personally, I don’t take it as that. I like to think it was part of a plan to mislead anyone else who could have seen the letter before I did. It’s not a farfetched guess because guards read mail before the inmates do. It’s safe to say that someone and only I know who is playing a dangerous game and if they make a wrong move then it will get them into trouble.
Sarah Lynn takes a deep breath.
Sarah Lynn: In this asylum there is a fear of the unknown. You must remember there’s murderers, rapists, people with mafia connections, thieves and people who have committed other crimes in this one place. It’s not enough to say I’m looking out for me as an inmate. You have to be willing to look out for anyone else who enters the premises even if they’re just a visitor because you just don’t know who’ll try to walk up to them. I can tell you stories about guards walking up to my cell and saying what would be taking as flirty lines. Personally I don’t like it but there’s nobody willing to listen to me because I’m just an inmate in their eyes. If you want to be taken seriously in here you have to earn the right to leave here and not shy away from talking about what you really experienced here.
Sarah Lynn points to a television.
Sarah Lynn: You just have to look at that television over there. All day it can tell you what’s happening on the news, however nobody is going to come here to interview us about how we’re treated. We entered here by ourselves and we have to hope that one day we’ll leave by ourselves. I don’t even remember how long my sentence is. I just remember they couldn’t wait to send me here, hoping it would send me a message about what it’s like to be in Hell.
Sarah Lynn smiles.
Sarah Lynn: By calling this place Hell, you would have no choice but to call the outside Heaven and if you were to ask me about there and my plans for it when I leave here, I would tell you that I would focus on my wrestling career and do everything that I could to stay out of trouble. To this day I still believe that what happened to me shouldn’t have put me in here but it’s too late for me to change that now. The only thing that I can do is continue to adapt and send a bigger message. A message that people will completely understand when I face The Phantom.
Sarah Lynn stands up.
Sarah Lynn: First of all, we ask the question who is The Phantom? The first thing we know about him is he wears a mask? But who is underneath it? Why does he wear it? What is he really hiding below it? Is he ashamed of who he is? So many questions but only one answer. He calls himself The Unstoppable Killing Machine. He makes it sound like he’s in a match against me to hurt me, to try and kill me. I’m not ready t die yet, but I am ready for a fight to prove myself once again in WWH. I’ve learned that people forget that in my time in WWH I have faced people bigger than me and I defeated them. Just because I’m facing the biggest wrestler on Sanatorium doesn’t mean I should back away. . I have been the underdog in matches before and I’ve come out on top. There’s nothing preventing this match ending with me creating more history.
Sarah Lynn looks at a bookshelf.
Sarah Lynn: So many stories over there and they all prove my point. A conquering hero overcoming the unbeatable odds. It doesn’t matter how low they are in life they find a way to reach their goal while the villain who wants everything falls. It makes me wonder what does The Phantom really want? He says he wants to strike fear, He wants everyone to be afraid of him. But is he saying that to hide his own mental problems? Maybe he was abused as a child and now thinks it’s how he should be treating everyone around him. Or maybe he made The wrong moves in life and is now being guided by people who don’t know any better themselves. In that scenario you just have to look at The Order Of The Soulless and ask yourself did they recruit him because they thought they could manipulate him into doing their bidding.
Sarah Lynn shakes her head.
Sarah Lynn: Let’s talk about the words soul and soulless for a minute. If you’ve got a soul then you’ve got a mind, character, thoughts and feelings. If you don’t have one then you’re basically dead. Phantom I admit that I;ve got a soul and I wouldn’t want to lose mine but I need to ask you some questions do you really believe that you’re dead? Do you really believe that you’ve got nothing to live for? Do you breath? Do you bleed? Do you sleep? Or how about this question, how do you really feel after losing your last match?
Sarah Lynn laughs.
Sarah Lynn: Phantom you and I were both in The Escape Room Match. You made it to the last two before getting eliminated. So there does seem to be an element of losing all the big matches when you have to compete in them by yourself. To my knowledge you’re a former WWH Tag Team champion. Did you only win that because a partner was able to help you? They say wrestling is a what have you done for me lately business, but it seems like while I’m able to pick up wins in a row you’re struggling to make an impact.
Sarah Lynn stops talking for a few seconds.
Sarah Lynn: Phantom some people would say I’m taking a big risk by asking questions that you don’t want to hear. They would go as far as saying that come our match you’re going to grab me and destroy me, however those people don’t see the bigger picture. One of two things are going to happen in our match Phantom, you’re either going to break or breakthrough to the next level and become what you’ve been missing all of this time. Think about it this way if I’m inside your head and I pin you What does that tell everyone? It tells them that maybe you really don’t belong in a wrestling ring. While telling those same people to watch me because I can go further up the ladder. Phantom I am a main eventer waiting to happen. Once I defeat you people will agree with that statement.
Sarah Lynn walks to the door of the day Room.
Sarah Lynn: Phantom I’ll see you at Sanatorium but I’m not expecting you to enjoy the match as much as I do.
Sarah Lynn opens the door as the camera fades.
Sarah Lynn: Secrets, for some people they can be fun but for others they can be dangerous. You just have to look at me for example.
